Clare Langan – Earthbound 2026
Residency and Exhibition at Centre Culturel Irlandais Paris

As part of her residency at CCI Paris, Clare Langan presents Earthbound 2026, a new multi-screen film installation and photography exhibition. Filmed with long-time collaborator, cinematographer Robbie Ryan, edited by Adam Finch, and featuring an original score by Icelandic composers Gyða Valtýsdóttir and Úlfur Hansson, this speculative fiction imagines the aftermath of a future Ice Age, and what emerges from the permafrost as the ice recedes. In this immersive exhibition, Earthbound reflects on survival, resilience, and humanity’s relationship to the natural world in an era of climate crisis and mass extinction.

Moving beyond the screen, the accompanying photographic series extends this reflection into a physical exploration of time, memory, and environmental preservation. Earthbound continues Langan’s long-standing exploration of the fragile relationship between humankind and a changing planet.
